Photography 4

There is something very important going on in photography that carries over to all aspects of our lives. The technological advances that are changing photography have a direct effect on how we think about reality. This of course makes sense because that is the point of technology, yes, no? Images are now composed of units of information called pixels. These pixels are infinitely malleable, hence images are always open to adjustment, interpretation and change.
This is also true of how we see our existence. Our lives can be how we adjust, interpret or change them. Having become accustomed to the fact that images are true and not true at the same time it is easy for us to make a shift in our perception. Many times this shift is unconscious and imperceptible.
Like all things, nuclear energy for example, there are those who will abuse this for personal gain but, and here's what's important, because photography has always been the most (perhaps the only) democratic of mediums everyone has equal oppurtunity to take enjoy or abuse this fact.
